With the final skull – unlock the north gate leading to Room 1. Backtrack to Room 4 as there’s nothing else to do here. ![]() Continue onwards and you will find a chest on the second platform. Take the newly revealed portal, and there will be a key right on the first platform. Once he’s cured it will reveal the portal on the SW side of the room. Try to cram in as close as you can to him to get that juicy blood on him. Get blood on him using Flesh Sacrifice, Raining Blood, or simply attacking your guys while really near him. You need to douse him in BLOOD first, then bless! However, once you get blood on him he will be “bleeding” and slowly die. The Historian? Hellfire?It’s kind of like Necrofire – but worse. I assume I need not add a fight strategy section here, but they’re an above average encounter. You can avoid the fight by never using the Purge ability associated with the Helmet of the Tyrant.Right after you enter here, you’ll be welcomed by some pretty buff, albeit skeletal, fellows. You must then fight and kill him and re-equip the helmet. Note that if you use the Purge ability a couple times, it will cause a demon to spawn from the helmet. Once you have all the pieces, you can wear them without fear of the debuffs hurting you. You will need to kill the undead Necromancer(s) to get a key to open the door unless you've destoryed/absorbed their soul jars. To get through the Gargoyle's maze you will need the Band of Braccus or some puzzle solving skills. There's a statue along the West wall that you can interact with, but only if you have a very high Wits rating. The Hands of the Tyrant are located in the tower/prison beyond the Gargoyle's maze. You can get the Tyrant's Stride in the same area where you go for the Withermoore's Soul Jar quest. You can get the Helmet of the Tyrant by completing The Armoury quest. By his feet is a journal, and if you read it you'll get an update. After insulting Trompdoy, he vanished and I could no longer talk to him. I decided to take all of the soul jars from the Dark Cavern in hopes that I could use them as a bargaining tool, assuming I could find the creatures bound to them. At some point, i meet talking stone gargoyle, he teleports me straight to castle (because i got 'braccus rex ring'), and now im stuck, cant leave castle because outside maze with traps and everything locked. This quest is automatically acquired when you find the Gargoyles Maze. It is worth using the Bless ability here, which turns fire into holy fire, that will inflict great damage to any undead. Upon entering, the gargoyle will send some undead to fight you. Interact with the small source object next to the barrier. The Gargoyles Maze is a side-quest in Divinity: Original Sin 2. The simplest way leads through the room with The Historian, shown in the image below. It leads to a new part of the area where a magic barrier blocks your path. Go through it, and pull the lever (and loot the room of course). In this new area, you will see a water vent drain on a wall in a small room. Get through the maze and enter the building. Another piece is located in the Braccus building located behind The Gargoyle's Maze quest.
